Dubai Mall, the must-see shops in the world's largest mall

Everything you need to know about the world's largest shopping centre

The Dubai Mall, located in the center of Downtown Dubai, is a varied, highly populated universe (more than 100 million visitors a year). Calling it a shopping centre is an understatement - more than 1,200 shops, including two department stores, Galeries Lafayette and Bloomingdale’s, a huge choice of food and beverage options, and attractions designed for leisure and families, make it a place to spend time even beyond the shopping - which is still the main, most fascinating attraction. You can find anything and everything here, and that’s not just in a manner of speaking! The glittering heart of Dubai Mall is Fashion Avenue: a white marble and gold treasure trove which, like a modern Aladdin’s lamp, can make your every wish come true. The world’s most exclusive brands, the best of made in Italy, but also top class service and high end dining will make your experience unforgettable.

Touches of greenery add a feeling of natural calm, with large and small trees and planters accentuating the avenue’s open ambience. The choice of furniture and accessories has everywhere been inspired by 5-star hospitality, creating an environment that is more hotel than shopping mall.

Here the Italian brands that have written the history of world fashion have found a home: Armani, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Valentino, Fendi, Ferragamo… welcome you in spaces that look like drawing rooms and house the latest ideas from the season’s collections - all naturally oriented towards exclusivity, with limited editions and previews. But Dubai Mall is not just European charm: next to the Dubai Mall we find the Souk Al Bahar, a lively, Arabian souk. A former sailors’ market, it effortlessly blends the traditional with the contemporary to offer locals and tourists an enthralling array of shopping, entertainment and dining experiences. Here, too, with over 100 shops and 22 restaurants, cafes and lounges, the Souk is the perfect vantage point to enjoy extraordinary views of Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain. Souk Al Bahar is also home to Time Out Market Dubai, a culinary meeting point with 17 fantastic local chefs and restaurateurs selected by the editors of Time Out Dubai as the best in the city.

The Dubai Mall also caters for youngsters, with the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. Located inside the Dubai Mall, the aquarium boasts the largest tank in the world, holding 10 million litres of water and 33,000 marine species. Then there is a virtual reality park, an area designed for children aged 2 to 16 where they learn by playing. And finally cinema and sport: at Reel Cinemas you can enjoy the latest blockbusters in comfortable, high-tech theatres. Athletes and sports fans can instead head to the Zabeel Sports District, the multi-sports complex located on the roof of The Dubai Mall, which offers a range of sports and fantastic views. This parallel universe naturally includes hospitality - for those wishing to stay in the heart of it all, a selection of 5-star hotels offer the perfect blend of luxury, elegance and breathtaking views.
