When was the Archiade project born in Dubai?

In 2004, we opened a design and implementation office for turnkey residential and commercial projects. For us Italians, supporters of Made in Italy, it was easy to face the market during those years. Then to cope with the growing competition, we opened a luxury furniture showroom in the Dubai Design District in 2018 together with some Italian companies; in just a few years the Dubai Design District has become the reference hub for the Gulf countries in interior design, fashion and art. Today, we continue to make plans, thanks to our experience and the loyalty of our customers, but the showroom gives new customers the opportunity to experience the quality of the products we offer first-hand.

What is the element that makes the Archiade project unique in the Emirati landscape?

Nobody in our opinion is unique, but our experience, seriousness and knowledge of the market help us a lot.

What do Emiratis expect from Made in Italy?

Emiratis are enthusiastic about Made in Italy in all its expressions. Some complain about high costs, but this is often due to a difficulty in recognising the intrinsic qualities of the product. They love food, fashion, art, design, cars and they appreciate technology. Italy is a favourite destination for their winter and summer holidays, where they love to go shopping.

What are the current trends in interior design in the Emirates?

In the past, a classical style ruled, now the new generations love the contemporary style, especially in Dubai. Abu Dhabi and the other Emirates still have a high preference for classicism.

Your three favourite places in Dubai?

The Emirates Towers are a good example of architecture and material finish (we lived and worked there), the Dubai Downtown area although it is becoming a bit chaotic, and Bastakia, the old city.
