Discovering the Four Seasons Resort Dubai

We discover the dream hotel that lights up Jumeirah Beach

It’s impossible to fully grasp the concept of ‘a corner of paradise’ until you experience a stay at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach - run by Italian RVP and General Manager Leonardo Baiocchi - where one of the world’s most prestigious hotel groups meets the silky-fine sand of Dubai’s most beautiful beach.

Shai Salon

Stepping into the light-filled lobby, scented with just-picked flowers and featuring an enormous window with views of well-tended fields extending to the ocean, we find a magnificent resort packed with Middle-Eastern touches: gold leaf-covered ceilings, sparkling mosaics and marble floors. Behind the resort and in picturesque contrast is the beating heart of the city, its futuristic skyline studded with skyscrapers.

The interior of the Resort

While you can choose from 237 fabulous rooms to stay in, including 49 suites, for a very special day at the seaside you can opt for one of the exclusive private beach cabanas, where your only concern is to enjoy the sun with maximum relaxation and comfort, or to try an invigorating water sport. Exclusivity and wellness are also key at The Pearl Spa. How many rooms? Just 10, to ensure the experience is intimate and personalised, from the temperature of the room to the fragrance in the air and the music (classical, ambient, nature sounds, Arabic fusion...) and, naturally, one-to-one treatments delivered by real experts using products from state-of-the-art brands such as Sodashi, Dr Burgener, Knesko, Neom and Biologique Recherche. In the spa you’ll find one of the resort’s 3 pools, and the only indoor one, ‘just’ 140 square metres - the outdoor pools are 600 and 850 square metres.

City View Suite’s panorama

Fancy something to eat? Well, you’re spoilt for choice. From international cuisine at Suq to vegetarian dishes by renowned chef Matthew Kenney at Folia, or Asian-style seafood specialities at Sea Fu. Not forgetting the Restaurant Village a stone’s throw from the resort, offering six excellent world restaurants: Coya from Peru, Scalini from Italy, Nammos from Greece… Tea at the hotel? In Shai Salon, they serve every type of infusion, while in the evenings Hendricks Cigar Lounge offers superb cigars and properly-prepared beverages.

But for a fairytale experience of sunset and the Dubai evening, with unparalleled views of the Gulf on one side and the glittering city on the other, choose one of the alcoves on the terrace of Mercury Lounge, the resort’s rooftop jewel, where it feels like you can reach out and touch iconic monuments like Burj Khalifa. The food is inspired by Sicily, with great classics and original interpretations, and the homage to the island continues in the beverages, scented with oranges and lemons for one of Dubai’s cult venues, enlivened by DJ sets and live music. The most magical evenings in town happen here.
