Top Italian design brands also loved in Dubai

On the occasion of Dubai Design Week here is a selection of the top italian furnishing pieces

From 7 to 12 November, Dubai hosts the ninth edition of the most important design event in the Middle East, Dubai Design Week, which this year also celebrates the 10th anniversary of Downtown Design, the trade fair that forms the core of the event. The theme chosen for 2023 is Rethink the Regular and aims to popularise a design culture increasingly oriented towards sustainability. The undisputed stars of this edition are the outdoor installations created through the recovery of traditional materials, waste materials or new biodegradable components. More than 25 installations, fruit of the convergence of design, technology and science, which arise from the objective of imagining and promoting new sustainable practices through public and immersive interventions.

Franchi Umberto Marmi

Each marble slab is unique and nature signs them all with unrepeatable veining. None of the furnishing accessories in this collection is so much like any other, but they are all unique pieces born of a completely natural exclusivity. Wall System is a modular wall and floor system made of light and dark Zebrino marble which alternate on the tops or a truly surprising aesthetic result in perfect harmony with exclusive environments.

Minotti

The instinct for the continuity of shapes, lines, coherence of language and style is summed up in the Dylan modular seating system (Rodolfo Dordoni design). It exposes a multifaceted lexicon in which the simplicity of forms is combined with their ability to welcome and bring to life the hospitality space.

Cantori

The new trend of placing the sofa in the middle of the room stimulated the creativity of designer Maurizio Manzoni to design an upholstered piece of furniture to take centre stage in the living space by challenging the complexity of the construction process. Valley is characterised by a soft but rigorous line, with a horizontal metal band that encloses its comfortable and cosy cushions as if it were in an embrace, and the large chaise longue on the side, its stylish elegance and finesse tell a story of comfort and well-being.

Poltrona Frau

In the new collection created with menswear designer Ozwald Boateng and presented by Poltrona Frau at Design Dubai Week, his expertise in craftsmanship combined with cutting-edge techniques in the development of materials, made it possible to create leather embossing patterns in a wide range of colours.

Bazzi
